iOS — Widget Calendar

1. Introduction

Welcome to Widget Calendar ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle your information.

Widget Calendar does not require login or account creation. You can use all features of the app without providing any personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide: We do not collect any personal information directly from you, as our app does not require login or registration.

Automatically Collected Information: We use Firebase Analytics to collect limited, anonymous diagnostic and usage data to improve our app:

  • Device Identifiers: Anonymous, non-resettable instance IDs assigned by Firebase. We do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
  • Crash Data: Information about app crashes to help us fix bugs.
  • Performance Data: App performance metrics to optimize user experience.
  • Usage Diagnostics: Anonymous, aggregated usage patterns (e.g., which widget sizes are used, which features are tapped) to understand how features are used.

This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely to improve app functionality and stability.

We do not use any advertising SDKs, third-party trackers, or share data with advertisers. The app contains no ads.

3. Calendar and Reminders Access

Widget Calendar uses Apple's EventKit framework to access your device's calendar and reminders. This allows you to:

  • View your calendar events and reminders in widgets and inside the app
  • Create, edit, complete, and manage events and reminders directly from the app or widget

Access is granted only after you explicitly approve the system permission prompts. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars / Reminders.

Your calendar and reminder data is processed entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your calendar events or reminders on our servers.

4. Data Storage

Local Storage: App settings, preferences, and your custom anniversaries are stored locally on your device.

iCloud Sync (Optional): If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your anniversaries and related app data are synchronized across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud container under your Apple ID and is not accessible to us. You can disable iCloud sync at any time within the app settings or in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.

Calendar & Reminder Data: Calendar events and reminders themselves are managed by iOS and Apple's iCloud Calendar/Reminders service if you have enabled them. Widget Calendar only reads and writes through Apple's EventKit framework and does not maintain a separate copy on our infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

We do not sell your data and we do not share data with any third parties other than the service providers listed above for the limited purposes described in this policy.

6. Data Retention

On-device data remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. iCloud-synced data is governed by your iCloud account settings.

Firebase Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months from collection, after which it is automatically deleted, in accordance with Google's default retention settings. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained for longer.

7. Push Notifications

Widget Calendar may send local push notifications to remind you of upcoming anniversaries and events. Notifications are generated on your device and are not sent through our servers. This feature is optional and can be disabled at any time through iOS Settings > Notifications > Widget Calendar.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding the limited analytics data described above:

  • Right to access the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectify inaccurate data.
  • Right to deletion of your data.
  • Right to object to or restrict processing.
  • Right to data portability.

Because we do not collect personal identifiers, we may need additional information to locate any data associated with your device. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law (including the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and California CCPA/CPRA).

You can also stop all data collection by uninstalling the app from your device.

9. International Data Transfers

If you use the app from outside the United States, please be aware that the limited analytics data described in Section 2 may be transferred to and processed in the United States by Google. By using the app, you consent to such transfer where applicable. Google maintains appropriate safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.

10. Children's Privacy

Widget Calendar is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

12. Contact Us

Android — Widget Cal

Last updated: October 29, 2026

1. Who we are

DAYSEED provides Widget Cal for Android (com.dayseed.widgetcalendar). This policy applies to the Android app. Contact: dayseed.help@gmail.com.

2. Calendar access and use

With your permission, Widget Cal reads calendar names, account names, colors and event details from Android Calendar Provider. Event details include titles, start and end times, all-day status, locations entered in events, notes, repeat rules and event alerts. The app uses this information to display calendars and Home screen widgets, search events and let you create, edit and delete events. Widgets may refresh while the app is closed. Event alerts are saved to Calendar Provider and handled by your device calendar service. Entering an event location does not access your device location.

Calendar information is processed on your device. Widget Cal does not transmit calendar contents to DAYSEED. Calendars linked to an account may sync through your device calendar service and account provider according to their settings and policies.

3. Accounts, advertising and analytics

The Android app has no app account or sign-in, advertising SDK or crash-reporting SDK. This version uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and improve the app. Internet access is used to send usage events to Google. Events include screen navigation, calendar permission status, settings categories, search length and result counts, calendar editing actions and aggregated widget actions. We do not include calendar/event titles, account or calendar names, event IDs, notes, locations entered in events, search text, date strings or event timestamps in these events. Date selections use only relative days from today.

The Analytics SDK also processes pseudonymous app/device identifiers and technical information such as app version, operating system, device information and approximate geographic information. Advertising ID collection and ad personalization are disabled. Calendar contents remain on the device; analytics data is processed by Google under its Firebase and Google Analytics policies and project retention settings. See https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy .

Usage analytics is enabled in the app and there is no in-app collection toggle. Contact dayseed.help@gmail.com with privacy requests. If you choose to email support, your email address and the information you send are received by DAYSEED through our email provider, Google. Please send only information needed for your request.

4. Storage and Android backup

Display preferences, calendar selections, calendar color overrides, widget state and permission-request history are stored on the device. Aggregated widget analytics is stored in the app no-backup directory for up to seven days until the app opens; collection and delivery are best effort. Event query caches are held in memory. Calendar events are stored separately by Android Calendar Provider.

General preferences and permission-request history may be included in Android system backup or device transfer, depending on your device and backup settings. Widget state, device-specific calendar selections and color overrides, and retired local-item storage are excluded from the app's backup and transfer configuration. DAYSEED does not operate an app backup server. System backup and calendar account sync follow the relevant provider's settings and policies.

5. Your choices and deletion

You can revoke Calendar permission in Android Settings > Apps > Widget Cal > Permissions, and choose which calendars to display in the app settings. Home screen widgets show selected calendar information to anyone who can see that screen; remove a widget or revoke access to stop displaying it.

Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes app preferences from the device. It does not automatically delete events stored in Calendar Provider or your calendar account. Delete those events using Widget Cal or your calendar service. Manage system backups through your device or backup provider. There is no DAYSEED app account to delete.

6. Retention and support

App preferences remain until you clear app storage or uninstall; a system backup may restore eligible preferences. Calendar retention is controlled by your calendar provider and your deletion choices. We retain support correspondence only as needed to answer and follow up on your request or meet applicable obligations. Contact dayseed.help@gmail.com to request deletion of support correspondence or ask about privacy.

7. Children and policy updates

The Android app is a general-purpose calendar and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information to support. When data practices change, we will update this policy and its date and provide any notice required for the change.
